My Red Velvet Cake

So I tried the cake....I cant decide what the flavour is supposed to be and I cant take a picture.  Funny enough the cake came out nice and soft and moist but my icing flop..lol...I thought that was soooo funny. So next time, I'm trying it with beets instead of dye and I'm going to buy icing, however, I will also try the cream cheese icing.  So for my birthday I plan to make another cake using the beets and I will try to make cream cheese icing instead of whatever icing I was trying and just incase that flop too I will buy some frosting...Hopefully by then I will have a camera to take plenty pictures.

Its Been A While

It's really been a while that I've posted anything here. So what's been going on?...Not a thing...been at university for the past three months trying to study...yes trying because I was truly out of it this semester...within that time i took sick, either the flu or dengue or both.  Exams went okay, I guess, I was sick for 2 of them.  My godson was born also within the time...he's soo sweet and cutsie and loves to talk well babble and laugh cause people dont understand.  So now its the holidays and I'm spending time over at my mother's.  Seriously, not much has been going on....For the holidays, however, I plan to bake so hopefully I should have some pictures...I plan to bake a red velvet cake, oatmeal cookies, almond something cookies, sugar cookies and some variations of dinner rolls... :) that much I'm absolutely looking forward to....Happy Holidays!!

Just a Thought

Sometimes people enter your life for no reason...its almost like they have to pass through on their way to their destination. Some of them leave some dirty foot prints while others leave a nice decorative print...some pass more than once..lolol almost like they took the wrong road and had to turn around.  But if people didn't pass through our lives or hearts can u even imagine where you would be today?...I've stopped regretting things in my life and started realising that everything happens for a reason and that reason is to gain experience, knowledge and wisdom.  Each situation should make one wiser and provide enough...what's the word?....ok I guess knowledge to foresee the possible outcomes of other situations. Look at it as if it was a job interview...employers always ask for experience and qualifications...you go to school gain the knowledge to be qualified then experience based on how many jobs you've had within the field or similar in nature. Wisdom should be given...I know not all of us act as though we have it and not all of us use what we have...but sometimes the heart takes over...I think wisdom is the brain and sometimes the heart chokes to death wisdom to get its way...lololololol...moral of my thought is that if one was to start living life as an experience and stop blaming and regretting, then one may find some kind of relief and peace at heart with oneself and then others

August

For starters August has started extremely boring for me....I did absolutely nothing for the first two days which were bank holidays...Tonight the 5th is Rhianna concert and I'm not going :( didn't get a ticket and apparently Jay-z, Eminem, Beyonce, Drake and Kayne are all here..yup..in Bim....no need to keep that posted because the media will...

Carpal Tunnel....

I've been recently diagnosed with this thing called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and its cause is from putting strain on the wrists causing a pinch nerve or something so...in laymen's terms its from typing...yes I know I'm typing this, but I'm using 1 hand ;)...anyways, here's the real description from the net.....Carpal tunnel syndrome is pressure on the median nerve -- the nerve in the wrist that supplies feeling and movement to parts of the hand. It can lead to numbness, tingling, weakness, or muscle damage in the hand and fingers (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth).

So I have it in both hands but the left hand is worse...sooooo glad I'm right handed :)....its unbelievable however because something as light as the telephone receiver can drop out of my hands....almost did today too while I was taking a call....to me there isn't much pain but more a constant discomfort -- the numbness, tingling and weakness -- every once in a while I feel a sharp pain and I find I have to take pain killers, strong ones, to relief the pain but they don't always work....today is just one of those days it didn't work....I have to get myself 2 braces to see if that will help...how ugly it would be to walk around with 2 braces :( also have to get those balls to exercise my hands..the left hand needs a soft or extra soft (thats how bad it is) and the right a medium.

Sooooo the million $$$ question...How am I gonna get out of this mess?????.....Answer: I don't know...for crying out loud, the economy is bad, jobs are hard to find, and guess what I'm receptionist and typist at my job...you saw correct...I'm the Typist *smh*....

Life without a Blackberry

So my bb decides its gonna give an error msg....and until today I've never realised how convenient a bb can be....I wasn't able to make a call, send a text to my boss, nor, most importantly, bb my friends :( ... to add fuel to the fire my port has a shortage...so the guy cannot finish my phone tonight (I don't know how to do the angry face)...I hardly use the net like one time anyways soo the internet doesn't fill that empty space and fb surely doesn't either...fb can be soo boring I don't know how some people stay on it all day, but that's a topic for another day...but I honestly wouldn't say I'm a bb junkie...because I am only now feeling the withdrawal symptoms and my phone was gone since last night...24 hours and counting :D....yeaaa but the convenience of these smart phones not only bb but all of them..they make life sooo much easier and this fact is not realised until one has to go a day or, even less, couple hours without it.

July

July is almost to an end....again I haven't said anything a whole month...soo what have I been up to in July?...ok brb with that..I don't think I did anything major in July hmmm...

Ok....the end of July was the bombbbb...I went to a calypso event at bushy park that was nice and the following weekend which was the last weekend in July I jump for foreday...that's like jouvert a night band with people, costumes, music, alcohol, whistles, paint, mud and recently coloured powder and chocolate... :-) boy oh boy was that fun...I had a blast

And that was all I did for July..smh

June

Tomorrow is the last day of June...I must say doing this is quite amazing (whenever I remember).  What have I been up to in June?...went to international rally-a car racing meet and saw a few friends there, the next week was weekend I moved to my new place and went to a friend's church's fun day with my son and god daughter, the next weekend I did absolutely nothing and my son wasn't home..*sigh* :D talk about relaxxx!!!..and last weekend I took my son to the play park met up with his god mother and her god daughter and we catch up while the kids play..it was nice then the Sunday I went to Fantasia's show..and wow!! can she perform...the show was awesome..(even though I had to work).  That was it for June and now looking back my June was quite busy...I wonder how I had time to complain about being bored o_O...oh and I wasn't on vacation..hmmm

Within the month of June I have also been keeping track of my caloric intake..not to loose weight but to maintain my weight..and keeping up with logging it is just as hard as keeping up with the blogging, but I try my best to keep up with both of them.

June

hahahahahaha!!!!would you believe June is almost over and I havent posted anything...at all....not even a thought :s....I promised I would try to keep up with this and the topics but that seem to be a bit hard..so its anything goes.

So was reading my friend Jennie's blog and she asked a few questions.. so Jennie here are my answers...it can be lonely but its better than wanting to be alone bcuz u can always invite a friend over to hang out...its only hard when you choose to live beyond your means...well i cant remember the other questions but now u understand why i was happy we met and you stayed by me...:p

May Fashion

Its the first day of May and I was trying to decide what to blog about...It was between children and fashion..and yup fashion won...guess cuz it was on my mind to blog about anyways...btw these wouldnt be tips just anything I like or dislike.

So its nearly the end of May and I haven't been able to post anything... :(  So this topic will go over to June...*sigh*...hopefully

Going for walks

I went for a walk last night and gosh it was most relaxing...I was able to let my thoughts flow and I mean really flow...I swear the ppl on the road thought I was crazy... I was laughing to myself and smiling with myself but not answering myself..lol...I dont belong to the mental....lol....anyways a good walk to relax is always good you get to think and exercise....

How Time Flies

It has been about 4 or more days since I did this....but although I didnt have my laptop, life got very interesting.

This is another day...Its the end of April and I am yet to learn how to use this thing properly...all of my posts are awaiting pictures just need to find the cables for my laptop...I've decided to blog about something new each month...April wasnt a full month of blogging however consider April to be about me. Tomorrow we shall see what I want to blog about for the whole month of May.
